Opening the RJJ Boxiing school in Russia
After receiving the Russian Citizenship, Roy Jones promised to engage in the popularization of sports and open boxing schools in Russia. With the help of his best friend finally in September of 2019 he opened his own boxing school in Moscow.
The school has 600 square meters of training area plus two locker rooms and a reception. The walls of the school has all the portraits and action photos of RJJ from the the best moments of his professional career. The school is open to the public seven days a week and classes available in both boxing and kick-boxing from beginners all the way to professionals. At least once a month when he is in Russia Roy Jones teaches a master class and works with some of his pro fighters.
"My main goal is to teach Russian boxers to think correctly inside and outside the ring, to be smart. Physical strength, of course is very important, but I want to focus on psychology. Brains in boxing are as important as fists! I hope that professional boxers who haven't left Russia yet can grow up in this school!"
